built the computer, but won't boot
I have just built a new computer. Below are the specs. What I was told I could do was take the harddrive from my old system with WinXP:Home and all other data, and put it in my new computer, and windows would detect the changes and be okay. So that's what I did. But when booting I can only enter up to the point where windows says it has previously crashed and gives the option to start in Safe Mode, Safe Mode w/ Network, Safe Mode w/ Command Prompt, Last Know Good Config, Start Windows Normally. When starting windows normally, I receive a split second blue screen that is impossible to determine the contents of, and then I'm guessing a crash, because my monitor soon powers off. The only difference in Safe Mode options is a list of drivers is shown on screen then the crash w/o the blue screen just before it. The only thing I can see wrong is when I boot up and it says IDE scan, it returns Device[0]-Device[3] ~ Not Detected. But when I enter the BIOS everything I have in my system is detected fine, but still no boot up. What can I do?

It's hit or miss moving a drive to another system. Read this thread, most of it applies to XP as well.
If you don't feel like going through all that, you can always back up your data, format the drive, and start over.
