Desktop items not on desktop

Don't know how it happened but my Desktop icons now appear in a folder in "My Documents" labelled "Desktop". Nothing appears on the desktop itself. Anybody have a fix please?

I would suggest that you run a check for virus' first and check for adware and spyware next. See if anything comes up that could have done this. I will try and find a resolution to your problem in the meantime.

Just go into the folder and either cut & paste, or drag & drop the items onto your desktop.

Yes this too of course!

I am wondering if you use Windows XP though? Dont know if Windows 2000 or earlier versions have this option that I am going to mention to you. If you do have Windows XP follow this below...

Right click Desktop (anywhere)-->Properties-->Desktop tab-->click Customize Desktop button-->Uncheck Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days

I believe you may have this options checked.
