Hyperlinks no longer work

In the last 5 days, when I click on a hyperlink, I can no longer get there. I get a blank screen with no info. I found info on MS site that told me to run: regsevr32 urimon.dll and 4 more .dll files.
I did so, but I still have the problem.

The only thing I've done recently is download updates from Windows. Did that do it?

What recourses have I?

"when I click on a hyperlink" -> Where is the link located? On a web site, word doc etc?
