Question Back Up Quicken to Disc

I can’t get Win XP to back up a Quickbooks file to disc. If I try directly from the Quicken program it says Drive E is inaccessible. If I save it to a folder and try to then copy it to disc it says I need permission from my administrator. I am the PC administrator. Win XP 2003. I also tried the Jasc record software. It copied to disc but Win XP would not play it, said something about it is not a Win 32 acceptable program/file.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Mike.

"It copied to disc but Win XP would not play it" -> Play it? ONLY Quicken Restore utility can use the file. Did you try coping it back to the hard drive and point the retore to the file to see if it would read it?

I don't like the Quickbooks backup utility. What I do for my customers is move the .qbw file for each company into My Documents and just include that in their regular routine backup.

Even I was looking for a backup solution apart from the regular built-in backup utility and recently found this online backup for Quicken and QuickBooks. This service is dedicated to backup Quicken and QuickBooks data only, it will not backup any other data formats. It is like a hands free application as it can locate and backup your Quicken data without your own intervention. The online storage space is given free of cost to store your Quicken data. Restore is simple and you can do it whenever you require.

I know that this is an old topic but wanted to post this info as someone will be benefited.
