I have a used computer from work which has a network administrator logon which I by pass by "cancel". When I want to do somethings like add a flash driver it comes up & says I must log on as an administrator. I do not have the password to log on as an administrator so how can I by pass the password or find out what the password is?

Well, we won't tell you that for sure.
But Windows ME is not trimmed for security. The password at logon is only to load the user profiles (like desktop wallpaper, color scheme, etc.), so there is no administrator account, like in Windows NT/2K/XP, so what you want to do should be possible in every "account". The only thing I can think of is that 3rd party tools were used to add a bit of security to ME. But what you can do is to wipe the hard drive clean and install the OS. That way the passwords are gone as well. RJ

That article will not really help you if the machine was on a NT/2K/2K3 domain at work, there are system policies. You can give it a try, but you will probably wind up having to wipe it.
