WinXp Pro install Problem=big headache, as always
I just put a new system together and wanted to install Windows Xp Pro, all is fine until the last file copies off of the CD and boom I get the blue screen of DEATH. Then I am forced to restart and do it again and boom it happens again, right after the last file copies off of the CD. I don't get it, it has never happened before. It tells me that a new hardware may be causing the problem. As always any help is greatly appreciated...
Nforce 2 Ultra 400 +MPC 160 GIG SATA HDD 256x2 Daul channel DDR ATi Radeon 9600 PRO (Could this be causing the problem??) Samsung CDRW drive P.S. My CDRW is on IDE channel 1 and it is set to Master, my HDD is on serial 1 and it is set to master as well.....could this cause problems because it does cause problems on systems using IDE cables. For example: if theres only one CD rom drive and it is on IDE 1 set to master it will cause problems if the HDD is on IDE 2 and it is set to master as well. Can this be the same thing with Serial????? thanks in advance |
