chkdsk /F
I'm running this program from MS-DOS prompt on XP Home to check and repair errors but I can't run it from C: and I don't have a floppy drive. So, I moved Chkdsk.exe to the CD-R but it will not execute on it's own. What other programs do I need to drop there to make it work?
Thanks. |

You have to run it at the command prompt, and say Y to the prompts. Then it will run when you reboot. No need to run it from external media.

I tried that but after it checked the disk I booted right away into XP and I didn't have a chance to read the results. I suppose if it didn't stop either there wasn't any errors to fix or it fixed the errors and it's good.
I am following procedures to install Partition Magic 8.0. Thanks. |
