Hiding A: in Explorer

My second PC, running win98SE, no longer has an A: Drive (Floppy).

However Windows Explorer still shows a 51/4 Floppy Drive.

How do I hide this from view?

Never tried to hide one, but my first guess would to be sure that they (the floppies) are disabled (set to None or similar choice) in the BIOS.

That'll be plan A what Two rails said, if it doesn't work TweakUI can do that...
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp
After downloading TweakUI, run it and these settings are available on ‘My Computer’
Use 'My Computer->Drives' to completely hide a drive, or
Use 'My Computer->Drive Letters' to show the drive's name but not the corresponding letter
Changing the 'Drive Letter' settings requires a logon/logoff before they take effect.

Thanks guys. Two rails, I had tried via the BIOS but that didn't work.

However, Rightcoast was correct and Tweak solved the problem.

I suppose Win98 shows an A: Drive because it is DOS-based and that was originally written for PC's with Floppy drives?
