Angry Win2k error message cant load programs

Colleagues
I reintsalled my computer with Win2k but i can't load programs and drivers. I get the following message:

"C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The syst file is not suitable for running MSDOS and MS Windows applications . Choose to terminate the applcation"
It give me an option to ignore or close. If i choose ignore nothing happens.
