Necessary services for Win2000
I'm helping my cousin who has an old box running W2000. What services are absolutely necessary to leave running to allow logging (dialup) to MSN for email and web surfing? I was told the box came from the son's school network and it seems way to active (data transfer through the modem when logged on but not doing anything).
Can someone steer me to a place to simply bone up on the required services and what can be shut down? -mk |

Before you investigate services, you need to do virus, trojan, and spyware scans.
