cant figure out problem
working on a laptop that has a problem i have never seen(i am somewhat of a newb). when the computer boots up all that shows up is the background and the mouse, no icons or taskbar. you can however perform run task in task manager and do whatever. question is how do i get the desktop back to normal function? all help appreciated

If the start menu pops up when you hit the Windows key, you can do a system restore. I suggest you do this in safe mode.

the keyboard is nonfuncional when it boots up, with he exception of ctrl alt del
