Old program on Win XP

Can anyone help, please. Until recently my astronomical program called Skyglobe 2 for Windows worked very well on XP. After loading Serive Pack 2. It stopped functioning. When I call up the program I get the message
'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS Windows applications.'

What do I need to do to get it working???

Try running XP Fix.exe (second one on the list).

Right click on the program’s shortcut and click “Properties”. Go to the “Compatibility” tab, and under “Compatibility Mode”, choose the appropriate Windows version. Note that it may be dangerous to use system utilities meant for older Operating Systems through the Compatibility Mode option, such as AntiVirus software, registry tweakers, or defragger utilities.

This may be a better link - http://www.webuser.co.uk/cgi-bin/for...in=136162]site

Miz's link may work, but the page I linked to indicates 2 different fixes for XP - one for Home and the other for Pro - and there's one there for 2K Pro too.

Force - this is not a compatibility issue, it's the autoexec.nt issue. I think I answer this one at least 3 times a week.

Many, many thanks. Miz I tried your splendid suggestion and it worked! I'll look into the other solutions as well. Now if I had a button on this keyboard that said 'send beer'.....................................
