GOOD news from Microsoft!!

8. New BETA of Microsoft Antispyware and it's going to stay FREE

---------------------------------------------------

Bill Gates: We'll "give away" anti-spyware software!

In December 2004 Microsoft bought the already established Antispyware solution from GIANT Inc.

( I have already posted an overview of the software, currently in its BETA testing phase:
http://www.updatexp.com/microsoft-antispyware.html )

However, this month Microsoft have announced that their is an update to the initial BETA software and that the product will be FREE, when it is finally released as a supported product later this year!

Unlike many of the current FREE AntiSpyware solutions available, THIS software is going to have some pretty serious backing...

I recommend it I have been using this new program for a while now and it's the best I've had. *****

I use Adaware-SE. it's a free program from LavaSoft (you can also purchase it if you want to have it constently running in the background like mcafee virus scan will do to constintely protect) i've used it for a few years now. it's a full free program and works very well for removing any spyware there may be. you'd be surprised what there. i generally don't trust much of microsoft products - especially IE *so many patches and security fixes who knows what will become of their "anti-spyware" software no offense. just thought i'd let you know about this software which has been around for a while. http://www.lavasoft.com/software/adaware/ that's the address for it if you (or anyone) is interested in checking it out.

Well at work we use both Ad-Aware and M$ anti-spyware when cleaning out clients PC's. Ive noticed that on some occasions, M$'s finds stuff that Lavasoft's missed. For me it often depends on the circumstances im dealing with.

Here's an interesting read on the subject of Adaware, Spybot, Pest Patrol and MS's new AntiSpyware.

Well that guy must work for Lava because when I did that same test out of curiosity it was the opposite of what he found.

I the Microsoft program found 6 spy ware files and Spybot Lavasoft and spyblaster did not!!

Go figure!!!!
