an error messege appearing on winxp

In my office computer, I have windowsxp pro edition, since yesterday Iam getting an error messege before shut down.

the error messege is as follows:

IEXPLORE.EXE-APPLICATION ERROR

"The instruction at "Ox7C910466" referenced memory at "0x00000586". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program.


Why am I getting this error messege, please let me know and also tell me how to solve this problem.

In the first part of the above messege,their is a number: "Ox7C910466" , Iam not sure what is the first digit of this number, it is either the letter "O" or a zero.

In this situation I think I would download and run memtest86+ first before anything else.
