Add to trusted zone

In Explorer I have the feature to be able to add to trusted zone by pressing tools/Add to trusted zone or Add to restricted zone.

I.m trying to set that same feature on my Son's Computer but can't find it. Please do you know how I add that feature to explorer?
Thanks

You may not believe this but I can't find it with your instructions.

Please try again in simpler form step by step.
Thanks

Start > control panel > internet options > security (this is with classic view)

Star > control panel > network and internet connections > internet options > security ( this is with category view)

If you would like to be able to add sites to trusted or restricted you should enable content advisor ( it's next to security tab in internet properties).

I think you misunderstand what I want to do.Let me explain once more.

I know how to get to this window (Check attachment)

What I want is the link that comes up when I press TOOLS/there is a list of things there ,two of them are>>>

Add to trusted zone
Add to resticted zone.

When you press those links it automatic does put whatever site your on into the trusted or restrited zone.

That's what I want.

I am not aware of that feature, even if I was, it would likely be a poor security practice and I wouldn't use it. You should type it the site manually, and use a wildcard so the trusted zone extends for the whole domain name. Like this:

http://*.microsoft.com
https://*.microsoft.com

be sure to uncheck secure sites only so you can add http://

HTH

My point was, if you are going to give someone complete control of your PC, wouldn't you rather type it in? A link can be spoofed.

To each thier own. Just so you know, there is a good chance if I wanted to I could make that address bar say whatever I want it to. Even with SP2...That is why Secunia and any other security site will tell you never follow a link, type it in yourself.

Notice how the advisory came out on 2-21...and it is unpatched.
