Installing Midea Center 2005

ok here is the deal i install media Center just fine i install most of the drivers just fine when i get to the ethernet driver windows gives me the message "RPC server is unavalible" so i do a search on google and i come up with this....

so i ping the computer name just fine but i dont know how to get the netbios name or the dns name or the guid name,to ping it that is so i need some one to be kind enought to let me know how. Or has any one else had this problem.

netbios name is name of your computer that you allready pinged and Domain Name Server
you can ping by pinging your ISP or if you have two or more computers in home network you can ping computer(1) or router wich gives you private IP addresses for all computers on your home network.

i also came accross another problem i go start\help and support and it tells me that helpspt.exe can not be found!!!!! am i not installing it correctly or has any one else came accross this?

I figured it out when u install the o/s u put the 1st disk in let it install it then install the 2nd disk when it askes u and when it askes u for the service pack 2 u have to reinstall the 1st disk............ why no one knows why they dont label it no one knoes that eather.?

You can try to start help and support service this way :
1. open control panel
2. open administrative tools
3. open services
4. you can start any service you like in here( even RPC)
