I ran a Windows automatic update on my PC, the OS is XP. I was hoping the system will be upgraded from SP1 to SP2. At the end the process, I still see "SP1" on the System Properties.
Observation: What next? Should I suspect Virus? Is this the update I need? What is it doing there, just sitting on my harddisk? What happened to the update.inf file? Where do I get a replacement? Do I need to replace it?

I'm not a fan of the Web update to install service packs so download the network install or order SP2 on cd and go from there.
