Windows 2000 problems

Why would the CPU be running at 100% all the time? Is that normal? What to do?

Something is running in the backround, could be a virus, or sptware. First place to check is task manager to get a clue..

Task manager, Processes tab showed two items gobbling up the CPU: win32dll.exe and HidDll32.exe.

Viruses. Now to figure how to rid myself of them.

Thanks for the reply

links for you to examine:
win32dll.exe
http://securityresponse.symantec.com...n.diabkey.html

HidDll32.exe
http://it.trendmicro-europe.com/ente...=BKDR_AGOBOT.I

if you have your antivirus updated i would try running it in safe mode
