Internet Explorer address bar problem

The address bar in my Internet Explorer does not work. I can't get the drop
down window to open, and typing a url in the window gets me nowhere.
When I click on the little arrow to open the drop down window, the little
hourglass appears and IE freezes.

To try the simplest thing first...in IE go to Tools>Internet Options>Content tab>Auto Complete button. Uncheck "Web Addresses," click OK and OK. That should clear the drop-down list. Then go back to the Auto Complete and re-check it and see if that fixes things.

If not, on the General tab in Internet Options, click the "Clear History" button and see if that helps.

It worked!

Thanks for the fix. Clearing the history done the trick. It had me baffled for a long time. Thanks again Miz
