problem during bootup of winxp

Today when I booted up my windowsxp ,it hanged after boot up ,neither the mouse nor the keyboard are working ,in keyboard only the buttons
alt+cntrl+del works.
I turned it off started it again, ran the computer in safe mode and removed the checks from some of the programs that were starting during boot up,but that also didnot work.

I unplugged my computer, then plugged back all the connections, booted my computer but that also didnot help.

What should I do now?

Regards,

What do you mean it hung after boot up? Did you get to the Graphical mode of windows?
Have you installed any new software/hardware recently? Any changes to the system?
Check your device manager for conflicts/error signs...

Boot it into safe mode and try a system restore back to a date before the problems started.
