Hardware Autodetection
Hello all
![]() I have Windows XP and an ATI Radeon 9600 128 MB video card. Whenever I try to uninstall the Catalyst drivers for the card and resart my computer, XP auto detects the card and automatically starts to install drivers for it. Whenever I try to click the small "x" on the autodetection display in the bottom-right corner of the screen, it seems to still install them anyhow. Is there a way to turn this option off in XP? Or am I just not stopping the process correctly somehow? Thanks in advance!! |

Way are you doing this, if you need new drivers or ati control panel just install you don't have to uninstall previus version.
And if you to stop detection (I do not recomend this ) go to: 1. Control Panel 2. Administrative tools 3. Services 4. stop Universal Plug and Play Host After you have done what you needed to do you can start service again!!!!!
