Where & how do I update my Bios in my Windows Me system

post your motherboard specs and i'm sure someone can help or look into your mb manual and there should be some suggestions there or on your mb's manufacture's website.

. . . and, generally, you don't need to update the Bios unless you are having an error traceable to the current Bios. [Or you are upgrading to a newer part that requires a newer Bios to accomodate it].
fcoral pointed you to the best place for such info: the website of the motherboard's manufacturer. Usually the latest Bios updates are available there, as well as the Bios Flash Utility (that does the work of the updating). Usually, you need to make a bootable floppy diskette, add the Bios Flash utility and the latest Bios update onto that diskette, and start the computer with it - then run the utility. All the details will be explained at the motherboard website. . . . Gary |
