the shortcut 'NetAssistant.ink'

Hi, at startup, I get an error msg: 'Problem with shortcut'.

It says: "....network conection that the shortcut 'NetAssistant.ink' refers to is unavailable..."

Any idea how to resolve this?

The OS is WinXP Home

did this happen after you ran netassistant?
if so try uninstalling it.
if the problem remains after the uninstall try using a restore point.

I actually cannot se the Netassistant in the Add/remove programs. I do see it when I do a search on my HD. It will not let me uninstall it from there... tells me to uninstall from the Add/remove programs.

Any ideas?

ok.
then try this:
go to start-->run
type:msconfig
go to the startup tab.
if there is a netassistant entry uncheck it.
reboot and check if the message is gone.
