Right Mouse Key Stopped Working After Upgrading From IE 5.5 to IE 6
I'm using Windows 2000 pro. I tried upgrading from IE 5.5 to 6 before with the same result that my right mouse key stopped working so I went back to 5.5. Unfortunately now I need to have IE 6 because of my job and a program requiring it. Though, if I could find a later version of IE 5.5 then that would work too but that was too hard to find so I just went to Microsoft to upgrade to 6. Anybody know how to fix the right mouse key problem? If I uninstalled and then reinstalled my microsoft optical mouse key drivers, would that fix the problem?

I think you need this : http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo.../Download.mspx
Get the latest for your set-up.

Thanks,
I only had Intellipoint 3.2 and the latest version is 5.2. So maybe that will do the trick. Don't have time to install it now. |

Nope. Just installed Intellipoint 5.2 and right mouse key still not working. What a pain.

As an experiment uninstall the mouse drivers and see what happens with just the generic windows drivers.

Also try a different mouse. I've seen right buttons die on MS mice, it may have been coincidence.
Does the right mouse KEY on your keyboard work? That's the one that looks like a sheet of paper and an arrow, on my keyboard it's between the right Windows key and the right Ctrl key. |
