Win98 WritePad files won't open in WinXP

Hi All:

I just upgraded my computer from Win98 to WinXP Pro and I find that I can't open any of my WritePad files.

I get a message saying "WordPad can not load Word for Windows 6.0 Files".

What do I do now? I need to read these files

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Bill Lane

Open windows explorer and go to one of the files you are having trouble with, try right clicking on it and you shoud get the little pop out menu, and one of the choices is, 'open with', choose that and choose wordpad to open them up..
