Local Area Network Connection
Can anyone tell me how i can get rid of the little "Local Area Network Connection" icon in the task bar. My comp is not connected to a network and it just gets on my nerves being there. I guess if it is on the task bar that something is running in the background. Can't find any reference to it in "msconfig startup processes". Thanx in anticipation.

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Network Connections
Right click the connection you're reffering to and choose 'Properties'. Uncheck the box that says 'notify me when there is little or no connectivity'. Alternatively, you can chose the connection you're reffering to in Network Connections and disable it. mike |
