NewsGroup sort sequence

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll start here.
I'm using Outlook Express for a alt.cars newsgroup and would like to change the sort sequence which it is using for the listing of messages. It currently
sequences by the root date of the message in spite of any recent posts to the original message. I'd like it to sort the messages so that the most recent
messages, whether they're responses to older messages or truly new ones to
appear at the beginning of the list. Thoughts from anyone that has solved
this or is there a help site within the newsgroup to post this type of
question?

I think the only view that OE has is using a threaded view, so you have no choice on the sort order. I would recommend using something more featured and compliant for reading newsgroups, like Forte Agent (www.forteinc.com)
