Thoughts from those of you with WinXP Media Center

Basically, I just wanna know, is this OS worth a crap? Seriously, is it as capable as regular ol XP, or is it more of an appliance type OS.

Windows XP and Media Center are 2 different grades of the same OS kernel, they are designed to target different uses and users. More than an appliance OS, it is designed to be used as a central repository for sharing media to multimedia nodes around your home.

In that case, it may be a usefull OS for what I am trying to do in my home, that is intigrating my entertainment systems with my wireless networking system. Assuming that it retains all the funtionality of XP home, it might be the better choice. I'll have to check into it more. Thanks for the promt reply.
