Question trying to enable hibernation

i've read several articles on this topic all over the net and they all say the same thing. however, they don't pertain to my system and i'm totally baffled by this. i am not able to get that hibernation tab from the power options in windows xp. i've been having to format my hard drive a couple of times to make my ghosting project the way i want it to be. i was able to get the hibernation tab a couple of times before, but something has happened with my system and i haven't been able to get it back.

like i said, i was able to get it before, so obviously my system supports it. i also went into the users accounts and made it so the system doesn't say "welcome" when it starts up. i've also tried keeping the system in the workgroup and nothing happens; tried putting it onto my domain and still nothing. can anyone give me a clue? i miss this setting a lot as i normally mess with tons of stuff on my desktop pc here. i'm not going to finish my ghosting project until i've found out. please help anyone out there.

Try this one: Click on the start button and select turn off computer. Then hold down the shift key and the hibernate button will be shown. Click it and your computer will enter into hibernation. Besides going into the Power Option I'm not familiar with any other way. Do you have enough memory in your computer? Hibernation uses quite a bit.

Never mind. I had given up and decided to install a video update and that did the trick, surprisingly.
