Are the System Sounds missing or you just don't hear sounds after Switching Users? What I'm trying to find out is, you're not able to hear the signon music or you don't hear any sounds at all?

Have you checked to make sure your speaker connections are plugged in all the way? If you have a sound card check to see that it is properly seated and connected to the mobo.

Open the Control Panel, and then select Sounds and Audio Devices. On the Volume tab, make sure that the volume is turned up and that it's not muted. On the Sounds tab, click one of the sound events that has a little speaker next to it. If the sound is working, it should play through the speakers.
If that doesn't work I'm clean out of suggestions but again it's late and I'm probably not thinking straight. Maybe later I'll come up with something. |
