Question email stuck in out box

I have a pc running me on a 802.11g network ,connection is dsl. everything was fine until severial days ago,A problem arose in outlook express that got me stumped. I can receive email ok.I can send email ok if its a new message, The problem is when I "reply" to a message it gets stuck in my out box. I get:connection to server has failed account mail.verizon.net protcol smpt,port25 server(sll) no socket error 10060 error number 0x800ccc0e.then to make things worse, mysterisly the message gets sent at a later point, but not allways. thanks for any help, walt
