kmixer.sys is ruining my life

is there anyone out there who knows how to interpret and fix the blue screen errors? i have plenty to show you, lol:
0x00000007E (0xc0000005,0xb7ec172d, 0xb83ddbb8, 0xb83dd8b8)

has to do with the kmixer.sys driver (windows/system32/drivers/kmixer)...really weird, even more annoying, randomly shuts off counter strike and blue screens, dont know how to fix it, tried deleting it, now im flashing my bios to newest version (that could be the problem)- im going to have asus walk me through so i dont mess anything up.

any suggestions?

thanks,

Introduction to Stop Errors

"Stop errors in a nutshell are errors that are serious enough to cause Windows to stop. They are similar to the blue screen errors that were present on Windows 9x, however there is no option to try and resume the session in a Windows NT Stop Error (Windows 2000 and all XP members included)."
