xp pro backup question

when i try to make a system recovery disk in the backup utility in xp pro, it asks for backup file name, it puts e:\backup.bkf in the space automatically, but when i hit next it says the name cannot be used make sure its a valid path.........it keeps happening no matter what i put in for a name.......any ideas??? thanx in advance

Do you have CD burning software with drive letter access enabled? Does it have a blank CD-RW in it?

yea, i just got it a couple days ago, a samsung dvd rw, all software and drivers installed, it came with nero, windvd creator, intervideo windvd--i dont know, i tried using nero to make the backup also, and it just froze at like 10%--???????

and yea i had a blank dvd in it, nero said 6 dvd's/or 43 cd's
