2 of 4 users lost all settings -cannot reset
XPPro with 4 Users - All with Admin rights - 2 Users all ok - 2 Users have lost all settings -home page, browser, email,quick launch, etc.(cannot reset)- left side of Start Menu remains empty - programs start but freeze or repeat (WMP repeats setup wizard but won't play)
HJT scans show the only differences are something called 'protocol default' (@ive , file , ftp , http , https) are in Computer Zone but should be in Internet Zone How do I fix this?? Last edited by roamer; 03-25-2005 at 11:23 PM. Reason: clarification |

Try to boot in to safe mode , if you can do that go to start>run >msconfig check to see that normal start up is selected. A update to my wife's computer did similar error , checking that entry fixed it.
