How do I do this?

I need to reformat my hard drive, and reload Windows XP onto it.

As with most store bought PCs, I do not have an XP disc to use to reload the OS back onto the PC. I do have the Lic. authorization key codes that came with the new PC.

What do I do from here to get Microsoft to send me a new disc to use?
Is there a link on how to do this?

Thanks

Only two options for you, first is to buy fresh copy of windows. And second is to call store where you bought comp and ask for recovery disc (witch you will probably have to pay) if so, then first option is better for you anyway!!!

I think you mean you have the serial number instead of Lic. authorization key codes for XP? If so just call Microsilly and give you tale of woe and I pretty sure they'll send you out a replacement Windows XP disk (migh cost a few $$$ for shipping/handling). Or contact the Computer company that you made the PC from and see if they can do anything for you with getting replacement disk.

I have a windows 95 disk . It did come with our second computer. The tech that built it told don't worry about the code you'll never need it. So that computer crashed and burned years ago but some of the family liked some of the programs better that the updated ones on windows 98se. Since the tech died and the computer died as well is there some way to get a code for this to install? Or will it just be good for target practice? As far as I know I never register this software at the time we didn't have the internet.can someone tell me something?
