How can i put another start menu Item in the start menu? It has about 3 usless items (recent documents, my music, and my pictures) in it and I would like to use different items in the list or just add some to it if I cant take the useless ones out.

The Start Menu is the control center of your PC accessed by clicking the "Start" button down in the lower left-hand corner or by typing the Window key. Adding items to it isn't that difficult.

Since there are two sides to the Start Menu, let's start with the left...

If the item you want to add is a shortcut, then find it on your desktop or open "All Programs" then right-click and choose "Pin to Start Menu"

Go to your Start Menu and the new item should be there.

You can also drag items down to the Start button, wait for the menu to open, then place it in the upper left list.

Now for the right side...

Right-click the "Start" button and choose "Properties". Click the "Customize" button then the "Advanced" tab.

You'll see a list of items that you can add or remove from the Start Menu such as My Music, My Pictures, and more. You also have the option to display as links or menus. When you're done, click OK to save changes.

I hope this is what you are referring to.

You can create new folders inside of the programs folder, but I have yet to see of a tweak that will allow you to put customized folders on the XP start menu.
