problem with windows updates
well i recently did a repair installation but the only problem is that I cannot install the old updates i had such as SP2. Do i need to? Everest detects this as a SP1 computer
edit-figured it out. Apparently something had to crash so windows could tell me that i "needed to install critical updates" when i couldn't install them when i was trying to find them.

When you did repair you have lost SP2 and all critical updates you should get them back as soon as possible, well you don't have to have SP2, but at least download critical updates and if you would like SP2 here is link to download it from Microsoft Download Centre:

i did download the updates afterwards thank you. I could only DL the SP1 updates at first for some reason. Then my control panel crashed, and windows told me to download updates. Well I did and now everything is fine. Suprising fact: SP2 shaved off mabye 10-15 seconds off my boot time because I would hang at the windows loading screen for mabye that long with SP1
