You swiched to 2000??? Try using it little bit longer maybe you'll change your mind!!!
If not you can right click on a partition where XP is installed and choose format from drop menu then choose quick format and file system set to NTFS.
Then in windows explorer open Tools > folder options > uncheck box by hidde protected OS files > click applay
Then open my comp > locate boot.ini > open with notebook > delete entry for windows XP close boot.ini when closing it will ask you to save the changes save and restart!!!

Do you have both Windows 2000 and Windows XP installed on the same computer? When you boot it up, does it let you choose which one to boot into?

If the answer is yes, then it's most like W2K is installed on one partition, or segment, of the harddrive and XP installed on another partition, or segment. The partitions should show up in My Computer as if they were two separate harddrives when they are actually partitions of the same harddrive.

Once you know which partition XP is installed on, boot into W2K and format the partition XP is on. Be aware formatting a partition removes everything on that partition. If you have any data...like documents, music, pictures, email, etc....on the same partition as XP, they will be erased.
