Windows Media Player using 97% CPU

Hi, I am having a really weird and annoying problem, i just reinstalled windows xp sp2 and windows media player 10 and for some reason it now uses between 90-100% of my CPU and about 150 000k of memory usage. This means that sometimes the songs skip or do not play properly, when opening up media player it is really slow and it can't even display the graphics on the player properly.

I have never had this problem before and i have no problem with other media players, they use up about 4% CPU like windows player used to for me.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help, Tom
