Inspiron 600m - Ethernet won't work
My friend brought over his new 600m to hook up on my non wireless network. However, his computer kept freezing whenever we'd try to setup the network on the laptop. So, i reinstalled with windows xp pro, but the ethernet controller wasn't installed by xp.. I'm used to xp installing the ethernet controller automatically and have never needed drivers for my computer. So, i look on the dell site for drivers to control the ethernet port, but non work. They all seem to be for wireless. My friend has no driver disk or "resource" disk, so i don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions?
Thanks :-D |

If I'm not mistaken it uses the broadcom 570x driver right? If not you can always take it off.
This page has them for download, just be sure to use the broadcom 570x. http://www.broadcom.com/drivers/downloaddrivers.php |
