Unhappy Remote Desktop Connection

I have wireless configuration at home consisting of:

PC running Xp Pro.
ADSL Modem connected to PC via USB
Airport Express ( apple) connected to PC via LAN cable.

Mac Laptop running on OSX.3.8 with built in wireless.

Above system is working great.

Now, I wanted to use my PC from my Laptop using MS Remote Desktop Connection, on the Server side the pc-winxp pro has that built in i made sure ALL USers are allowed to access the PC
On the Client side , i installed MS Remote ( OSX version)

Problem:

Laptop connects to PC, a black screen comes on then a small window ( xp) pops up asking for User & Password.

Nothing i did woould let me log in on that little screen,.

I looked at the Server side , there is no password, and there are 3 users:
Administrator- home- Guest
the pc name is HOMEPC. the domain is WORKGROUP. I tired each of those users. Error message on the Admin and guest saying U r not allowed to access. using " home" as the 3rd user i got error about username and password !!!

how do i resolve this problem.?

Appreciate your help. for one thing, MS help site sux. its oooo complicated andcrammed one gets lost in it.
