Product code Winows98
I have an old Dell Optiplex 110 specs as follows:
Pentium III 667 128mb RAM 10GB HDD I need to install Win98 and everything runs fine however once I get to the product code screen, it will not accept my code. Is this because the system has a code for WinNT on the side and will only accept that? Or is it because the code may have been used before and I need to get a new one? Any help or enlightenment would be great! Thanks. |

That code is only for WinNT. You need to use the key code that belongs to your Win98 CD.

sorry should have made that more clear. I am trying to use the code that came with the Win98 CD but it is still not accepting for some reason.

You are either mistyping the code or it's not the code that came with that CD. Read the code carefully - it's hard to tell the difference between an 8 and a B, a G and a 6, and a 2 and a Z.
