Lightbulb

Tell you how I decided, I tried I don't remember how many of them and at the end for me works this combination Ad-Aware SE Profesional(not free)+ SpaywareBlaster(free)+SpaywareGuard(free) I'm using them in last five month's and no breach has occured yet.
On my second (testig) machine I'm curently testing Microsoft Antispyware for a month or so and for now it's good but we will se!!!

The only McAfee product that will ever touch THIS computer is the Superdat command line scanner, which is actually an excellent virus scanner. Any security product from Symantec or McAfee these days that has to be *installed* is just bloat.

Why pay for an antispyware app when there are several good FREE apps out there - Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, and M$ Antispyware come to mind. If I had to pick one from those 3, I'd go with M$ because it's GOOD, it scans and updates daily, and has active protection. Yes, it does take a hit on the system if you activate the active protection, but I don't know of anything that doesn't except Spyware Blaster - which is not really active protection, all it does is prevent prohibited stuff from installing by modifying the registry.
