"C:\$SECURE IS CORRUPTED" ERROR MESSAGE
Forum members,
I have been having a strange problem with my computer lately. I keep getting this error message "c:\$secure is corrupt and unread, suggest running CHKDSK" lately. All of a sudden my printers will not print. I do a reboot and it says that it has found a problem with one of my disks and runs CHKDSK. It runs the 3 part program, finds no problems, and reboots my system again. The system comes up to desktop and I see the same error message. Every thing else seems to be okay with my computer at home (I am typing this from my work computer). Does anyone have an idea what could be happening here. I googled the error message and I read that it could be a hard drive going bad. What do you all think? Please see my signature for my system specs. Thanks. Paul |

Download the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and test the hard drives.

GLC,
Thanks for the advice. I was going to work on that when I eventually get home tonight. I will let you know the outcome. Paul |
