** Full Screen by Default **
Hi All:
When I click on a picture it opens in IE, and that's what I want, my problem is I would like to set it by default to open Full Screen, without having to mouseover the picture and wait for that big button at the bottom right corner to show up to click on. Also I'd like to have IE set by default to open Full Screen without having to go to View / Full Screen to get this. Is it possible to make changes to the registry that would give me Full screen on both of these areas? My Desktop Shortcuts give me the option to select Full Screen for them, but that don't help me concerning the two problems I mentioned above. I don't want to install any add-on programs to view my pictures. Your help will be very much appreciated, and thanks ahead of time, Bill Lane

Thanks fudtone, but I can click View / Full Screen, or that big button at the bottom with my mouse.
Actually, I have to do both with every picture to get to view the picture the way I want to view it. Thanks anyway, Bill Lane |

Hi All:
I just found this during a search at http://www.windowsnetworking.com/kba...ll-screen.html [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main] "FullScreen"="yes" But it didn't work for either problem. Bill Lane |

Internet Options > Advanced then scroll down to Multimedia and uncheck the "Enable Automatic Image Resizing"
As far as the opeing IE in full screen, I've always open it to fullscreen, exit and then reboot it's sorta a pain but has worked for me in the past.

Hi lil Jimmie:
Well unchecking that "Enable Automatic Image Resizing" got rid of one of the problems, I don't have to fool with that big button in the lower right of the picture. Thanks a bunch !!! But I still can't get Explorer to open Full Screen automatically, I have to click View / Full Screen or hit f-11. I sure hope someone knows a fix for this :-) Thanks again, Bill Lane P.S. I did try your other suggestion, but it didn't work for me. |

Another long shot but try this: right click on the IE icon in the quicklaunch or in "All Programs" menu then go to properties and under the shortcut tab, then "run" settings select to open maximized

Hi Bill
The Elder Geek seems to think that two value changes in the Current User key can do the trick. Check it out at http://www.theeldergeek.com/run_expl...ull_screen.htm I haven't tried this one before, so I can't vouch one way or the other: do you feel like being our PC Mechanic beta tester today? Best of luck . . . Gary |

Hi GaryRouth:
Thanks for the Elder Geek info. But it still won't open Full Screen without hitting f-11, or going to View / Full Screen. But I added the Full Screen button to the tool bar to make it a little easier, so I guess I'll just have to live with it. Want to thank you all for all the help, at least I got rid of that button in the lower right corner that enlarges the picture, now my pictures display full size, and I'm happy about that. Bill Lane |
