Win XP auto 'Standbyby' mode quit working(?)

I've used the power settings on my desktop for a long time with no problems. lately, the monitor goes off unattended after 1 hour as set, but it doesn't go in to "standby" mode anymore when its supposed to, at 2 hours. It will go into standby if I do it manually, however.

Any idea where I can check to see if some setting is changed? In the screen-saver 'power' area, its still set as I had it.

I'm wondering if anything in 'MSCONFIG' is related to the power options, as I might have deselected something in there, unintentionally.

Any ideas??
(...I like having it shut down by itself automatically rather than run all night long, but hate shutting it off all the time, in case I need a quick "stock check"!)
