Have I been a bad boy
Hi gang
Have an easy one for you, I was using IE and I clicked on my tools in the tool bar and was going to clean out me temp folder, etc. When I clicked on the clean files this is what I got in a little square box with a big red warning X. "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on the computer. Please contact your system administrator" But yet I can click on the big E and do it and it works just fine. Am I being punished or some thing. Honest I have been a very good boy, honest. I am using IE and have XP home. Does this mean I have to do a couple of laps, or give me ten, before I am forgiven??? Take care...........Gunny

You may receive a "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer" error message when you try to open the Internet Options dialog box in Internet Explorer 6. Thats what Microsoft says
They have some work arounds and resolutions on this matter @ :http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/894179 Good luck. |

Now now, let's not get paranoid - it's just the Windows Random Internet Normality Glitch Environment Restictor (WRINGER) operating normally. You'll have to visit MSN.com ten times and download all the latest security patches to disable it for the next few weeks. There is a registry fix, but XP moves the registry keys around so you can never be totally sure you've killed it.
