Leaving XP on for ...

Anyone had experience with leaving XP on for days... months??? Just wondeered how often you shuold reboot it

I don't think there is a real timeline on when you should. I usually end up rebooting once a week or so.

I would say reboot once a week or so, or more often if your computer appears to slow down. I do it on Saturday when I do my weekly maintenance (have to do it to run chkdsk).

I don't think there is a real time limit, some people will claim they go months, other people need to every week. I would just do it when you feel ya should. It can't hurt, and it only takes a moment, so I would reboot once a week or so, but that's just me.

Mine runs 24/7. I usually reboot as needed if I feel that it is starting to act sluggish. Most of the time, it is usually a one a week reboot, just to clear out the cobwebs.
