some error messege in windowsxp updates
Recently I was trying to update my windowsxp but I got the following error messege when I was updating it:
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page. You may find the following resources helpful in resolving the problem: For self-help options: Windows Update Response Center Windows Update Troubleshooter Windows Update Newsgroups For assisted support options: Microsoft Online Assisted Support (no-cost for Windows Update issues) why am I getting this error messege and what is the solution of this problem. |

I saw this happen to a customer that didn't even have service pack 1 on yet. Any chance you don't have it on yet? Updating to SP1 fixed it. This was around autumn or Xmas I think. More often than not you have a virus or spyware problem causing this. It could be an Active X issue or even a block in your hosts file. Not really enough info here to do anything but start the troubleshooting process. It could also be that the automatic Update Service is not running.
