some error messege in windowsxp updates

Recently I was trying to update my windowsxp but I got the following error messege when I was updating it:

why am I getting this error messege and what is the solution of this problem.

I would try that, see what they have to say.

I saw this happen to a customer that didn't even have service pack 1 on yet. Any chance you don't have it on yet? Updating to SP1 fixed it. This was around autumn or Xmas I think.

More often than not you have a virus or spyware problem causing this. It could be an Active X issue or even a block in your hosts file. Not really enough info here to do anything but start the troubleshooting process.

It could also be that the automatic Update Service is not running. Check around in the KB, I found this one for you:
