Media Disconnected with no splats on NIC
Ei fellas!
I know most of you have read about Limited or No Connectivity problems before but can you help me with this situation: 1. Computer running winXP without SP2 connected via ethernet on a 2wire Homeportal; computer had been used for DSL for over 4 months without any problems 2. Computer had been running fine until one day, when I switched it on, I got a Limited or No Connectivity warning by the Local Area Connection icon 3. I have disabled the "Notify me if this connection has Limited or No Connectivity option in the properties window 4. I checked for splats on my NIC card but found none, I have disabled and re-enabled it to "kick start" it but still has the same problem; 5. I have replaced my cable with the USB cable and installed the drivers and all but still has the same problem Question: What could have caused the problem and what can I do to fix my connection without having to do a System Resore? Is that the only option? Do I need to reseat my NIC card? Last edited by kikoman26; 04-27-2005 at 11:43 AM. |
